Give me a chance: Fostering Educational Inclusion for Children in Care
We are proud to be a partner in the Erasmus+ small-scale partnership project “Give me a chance”, which focuses on improving educational support for children in foster care in Lithuania and Latvia.
Project Objectives:
- Create an inclusive pedagogical concept tailored to the needs of foster children.
- Develop and deliver teacher training on trauma-informed education, inclusive practices, and social-emotional learning.
- Raise awareness through student engagement, including a digital book contest “Simply about Foster Care” to promote empathy and reduce stigma.
- Build a support network involving teachers, foster families, child welfare experts, and local education authorities.

- Education and child welfare professionals
Our Role:
As the Izglītības inovāciju pārneses centrs (Latvia), we will:
- Lead the development of the pedagogical concept
- Organize local training and dissemination events
- Facilitate collaboration with schools and stakeholders in Jelgava
