First transnational meeting took place in Jelgava Palace, Latvia. Overall meeting was very successful the partners were collaborating effectively.
On Wednesday, November 16 the partners were met at the hotel lobby and and, after seeing Jelgava from the Tower and the crossing of the Mītavas bridge, partners were welcomed at Jelgava Palace, where we had a presentation of each institution, mingled with each other. Later the project coordinator presented and informed about administrational and management requirements while conducting the project. All the partners expressed their expectations, shared the responsibilities of the future project activities. In the afternoon the project partners worked on some management tools and also on structure curriculum. In the evening, the project partners were invited to dinner at the Pilsētas elpa where they had the opportunity to meet with the members of the association, as well as to taste traditonal snacks of both the Latvian and the partner countries.
On Thursday, November 17, International Seminar on Adult Problem-Solving Skills Promotion was organized in order to exchange experience and also to learn something new. Workshop on Design thinking was organized by teachers of host organization – Izglītības inovāciju pārneses centrs. During the seminar project partners had opportunity to meet with local community – stakeholders of adult education system. In the evening partners were invited to the Latvian National Opera and Ballet House, Ballet LA BAYADÈRE and also to the festival of Light Staro Rīga 2017.
The third day of the meeting was focused on management issues. Later Swedish partners met representatives from The Latvian School of Public Administration – their partners from other project. As on Friday, November 18 was celebrated the 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, partners were invited to different cultural events: Concert Raxtu Raxti, etc.
